Deanna Chancellor is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She joined NNCTC in 2023 after serving 18 Years as the Director of the Leflore County, Oklahoma, Child Advocacy Center & Women’s Crisis Services.

This training is designed for MDT MEMBERS & OUR RURAL TELEMENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM THERAPISTS

Trainees Will Learn

  • Develop an understanding of the impact of historical trauma on American Indian and Alaska Natives peoples
  • Recognize why approaching families with cultural humility is critical
  • Assess their practice of cultural humility
  • Increase your own cultural awareness to work in and with American Indian and Alaska Native communities
