WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Montana professionals working with Child Advocacy Centers and/or Multidisciplinary Teams working with children who have been victims of child abuse.
Professionals who should consider attending are: Law Enforcement, Forensic Interviewers, Victim Advocates, Attorneys, Medical Professionals, Mental Health Providers, Child Advocacy Center Staff, CPS, and any other professionals working with children who are victims of child abuse.

PRESENTERS:

Nancy Oglesby, Deputy Director, Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Services Council (Virginia’s Prosecutor Training Agency) & Justice 3D Founder

As a career prosecutor for over 25 years, Nancy has handled thousands of domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse and sexual assault cases. She has trained allied professionals nationwide including prosecutors, law enforcement officers, advocates, medical professionals and forensic interviewers.  

David Clark, Detective, Dallas Police Department

Detective Clark has been assigned to the Child Exploitation Unit for the last fifteen years. He is responsible for the investigation of cases involving sexual crimes committed against children; to include the Trafficking and Abduction of children. He has been the lead detective in several high profile cases during his time in the unit.

Larry Braunstein, Braunstein and Zuckerman, ESQs – Defense Attorney

Lawrence Jay Braunstein is a partner in the law firm of Braunstein & Zuckerman, Esqs, in White Plains, New York. Since 1985, he has specifically focused his practice in the areas of child custody litigation and litigation involving allegations of child sexual abuse, physical abuse and abusive head trauma (shaken baby) in matrimonial, family and criminal cases. He regularly lectures as an invited speaker, both nationally and internationally.

All conference participants, including those who apply for lodging scholarships, are responsible for making their own lodging reservations. Cut-off date for the block of rooms rate is February 5th, 2026.

COLEEN MAGERA CHILDREN’S CHAMPION AWARD

Coleen Magera was a leader and a champion for children. To honor her legacy, we will recognize the work of an individual or multidisciplinary team at this year’s Children’s Justice Conference with the Coleen Magera Children’s Champion Award.
The Coleen Magera Children’s Champion award is a platform to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of professionals working as part of a multidisciplinary team in Montana.

Any professional can make a nomination. Any professional can make multiple nominations.
Nominations can be made for:

  • An individual professional (Law Enforcement, CPS, VA, Prosecutor, FI, Medical or MH)
  • A group of MDT professionals – Multiple professionals who collaborated on a case.
  • A Multidisciplinary Team.
  • The deadline for nominations is January 30th, 2026.
  • Nominee’s will be notified by February 13th, 2026.
